In exchange for their hard work and dedication, the knitters receive a supplemental income. This arrangement not only provides financial support to our members, but also empowers them to pursue their passion for knitting, while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Where it All Started
Ryan is a 15-year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a proud big brother to an 1-year-old baby. When his little brother was born, he received a small handmade hat—a simple gesture that sparked something bigger.
A few months later, Ryan noticed how many expectant mothers were arriving daily at the IWK hospital, and he realized how many newborns could benefit from that same warmth and welcome. Wanting to ensure every baby could have a cozy hat—especially during Nova Scotia’s cold winters—he asked his mom if she knew anyone who could knit.
That small question led to the creation of Cozy Hearts Collective!
